Dover Castle
This iconic English fortress has guarded the entrance to England for over nine centuries. Within walking distance of Hubert House, there is plenty for all the family to see and do at Dover Castle. Explore the great tower, the WW1 gun post, the underground hospital, the secret wartime tunnels and much more.
Dover Ferry-port
The gateway to Europe. Millions of vehicles pass through the ferry-port at Dover each year with ferry crossings to France taking place around the clock. If you are planning to visit Dover or travel abroad, then you will inevitably visit the port at some point. Enjoy the views of the cruise liners and watch the working port in action. The Ferry-port is only short distance from Hubert House.
The White Cliffs of Dover
One of the most famous sights in all of England, the white cliffs instantly spring to mind when thinking of Dover. Visitors can take the coastal path the South Foreland Lighthouse, which winds its way along the cliffs, offering breathtaking sea-views. The lighthouse itself is the place where Marconi made his first radio transmission.
